Refund & Cancellation
How refunds and cancellations will work for packages and booked jobs.
1. What is free
Posting a job, listing your availability, sending quotes, ratings, early registration and the free first job broadcast offer are free. No payment is taken through the website. Booking and payment through BuatNow are not live yet. BuatNow will only ever ask you to pay for a package by [to be confirmed] after you request one on WhatsApp at +60 11-1006 1918. If anyone else asks you to pay "BuatNow", please tell us.
2. Paid packages
Packages for job owners (Basic, Plus and Business) are requested on WhatsApp, paid [to be confirmed] and switched on by BuatNow after payment. They run for one year and are separate from any job price.
- Cooling-off: you may cancel a new package within [to be confirmed] days of purchase for a full refund, if you have not booked a job with it.
- After that: [to be confirmed].
- Renewal: [to be confirmed].
3. Booked jobs (when booking launches)
For jobs booked and paid through BuatNow:
- Cancelled before a worker accepts: the downpayment is refunded in full.
- Cancelled by the job owner after a worker accepts: [to be confirmed].
- Cancelled by the worker or the worker does not show up: the job owner gets a full refund of the downpayment, or can have the job sent to other workers.
- Materials credit: the 30% materials credit can't be withdrawn before the job is done. Any unspent credit is paid out to the worker when the job is done. [to be confirmed]
- Disputes about the work: [to be confirmed].
- BuatNow fee: [to be confirmed].
4. Advertising
Advertising placements are agreed case by case. Cancellation and refund terms will be set out in each advertising agreement. [to be confirmed]
5. How to ask for a refund
Email [to be confirmed] or WhatsApp +60 11-1006 1918 with your name, phone number, what you paid for and why. We aim to reply within [to be confirmed] working days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within [to be confirmed] working days, depending on your bank or e-wallet.
6. Your rights
This policy does not affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or any other Malaysian law.
